Grant Writing

Are you are a part of a small non-profit that could benefit from grant funding but intimidated by the process? Interested in learning about the current grant cycle that is happening now at the Portage Foundation? Then join us on Saturday, June 10th, starting at 9:30 AM at Reed Memorial Library’s Haymaker Room for this FREE Grant Writing Workshop.

Our team will go through the components of successful grant applications, with helpful tips and step by step advice to make the process manageable for even the first-time grant writers. We’ll help attendees brainstorm potential grant-funded projects and critique grant application drafts if you’ve already started writing. Plus, attendee can learn more about the current grant opportunity available with the Portage Foundation. The presentation will last around 45 minutes to an hour, with time afterwards for networking or additional questions.

The Portage Foundation is a charitable organization created by and for a community of people. It is supported by local donors and governed by a board of private citizens who work toward the greater good of the community. Funds come from a variety of sources, including bequests and living trusts, and are invested in perpetuity. The investment earnings are then distributed to worthy organizations or causes.
