Honoring a lifelong commitment to serving others
Darla Winnefeld believed in giving back. From her first volunteer experience as a teenager to decades of service to the Rootstown School System, local fire company, healthcare organizations, and her community, volunteering was woven into the fabric of her life.
Created in her memory, the Darla Winnefeld Memorial Scholarship supports graduating Rootstown High School seniors who demonstrate a commitment to volunteer service and plan to continue their education at a college, university, technical, or trade school.
By recognizing students who give their time and talents to others, the scholarship carries Darla’s legacy forward and encourages the next generation to discover the lasting impact of serving their community.
