Keeping a love of poetry alive through the next generation of writers
Roger J. DiPaolo loved poetry. Established by his family in 2022, this scholarship honors that passion by encouraging students to explore the art of writing and the power of poetry.
The scholarship is awarded annually to a Kent State University student in any year of study who has an interest in writing poetry. In partnership with the Wick Poetry Center, the DiPaolo family, and the Portage Foundation, the scholarship helps nurture the creativity and voices of emerging poets.
Through Roger’s legacy, a love of poetry continues to inspire new writers to put their thoughts, experiences, and imagination into words.
