Honoring those who served by investing in the well-being of veterans in our community.
The men and women who have served our country deserve our gratitude, respect, and ongoing support. Yet veterans and their families may face challenges when transitioning to civilian life or navigating housing, health care, employment, and other essential needs.
The Portage Foundation has established the Fund for Veterans to help support organizations and programs that serve veterans in Portage County. Through community grantmaking, this fund will help strengthen the local resources that veterans and their families rely on.
Our Goal: $250,000
Help us build an endowment that makes a lasting difference.
Our goal is to raise $250,000 to establish a permanent source of charitable support for veterans in our community. Once the endowment reaches its goal, it is intended to provide approximately $10,000 in annual support for local programs and organizations serving veterans.
As we kick off our fund, we are offering special incentives to those who join us in supporting area veterans with significant donations:
Founding Donors: $1,000+
Donors who contribute at least $1,000 by December 31, 2026, will be recognized as Founding Donors of the Fund for Veterans.
The Honor Guard: $10,000+
Donors contributing $10,000 or more will receive special recognition as members of the Honor Guard, honoring their extraordinary commitment to veterans and their families.
Your gift will help build a lasting resource that can respond to community needs and honor the service and sacrifices of those who have served our nation.
Every Gift Moves Us Closer
Whether you give $50 or $50,000, your contribution helps grow the Fund for Veterans. Together, we can build a stronger support system for those who have given so much in service to others.
Join us in honoring our veterans through lasting community impact.
Give today to help us reach our $250,000 goal and create an enduring source of support for veterans and their families in Portage County.
Thank you for helping us build a legacy of gratitude, care, and service.
