The Roger J. DiPaolo Bright Future Scholarship will be an annual scholarship of $1,000 awarded to a Ravenna High School senior who lives in the Skeels or McElrath neighborhoods of Ravenna or is actively involved in the Skeels-Matthews or King-Kennedy Community Centers.
Criteria:
- Be a senior at Ravenna High School
- Live in the Skeels or McElrath neighborhoods of Ravenna or be actively involved in the Skeels-Matthews or King-Kennedy Community Centers.
- Pursue any area of study at a college, trade or technical school.
- Have submitted the application and required documentation for this scholarship by the application deadline.
- Submit a brief essay (not to exceed one page, single spaced) on the student’s career aspirations.
- Be available for a personal interview, if requested.
The Selection Committee will consist of representatives of the Foundation, representatives of the DiPaolo Family, a guidance counselor from Ravenna High School and a representative from the Portage County NAACP.
