Investing in the next generation of nursing leaders
For generations, nurses across Portage and Summit counties have strengthened our communities through compassionate care, education, leadership, and service. The Dr. Connie Stopper Nursing Legacy Scholarship honors that tradition while helping prepare the nurses who will carry it forward.
Created in recognition of the Summit and Portage District Ohio Nurses Association and its members, the scholarship supports nursing students pursuing bachelor’s or graduate degrees at Hiram College, Kent State University, or The University of Akron.
Named for Dr. Connie Stopper, a longtime nursing educator, leader, and advocate for professional development, the scholarship reflects her lifelong commitment to helping nurses grow from novice to expert and inspiring the next generation of nursing leaders.
