Nurses have always been at the heart of healthy communities. Established by registered nurses from Portage and Summit counties, this scholarship carries forward their commitment to strengthening the nursing profession and supporting those who choose this important path.
The Summit & Portage Undergraduate Nursing Scholarship supports nursing students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Hiram College, Kent State University, or The University of Akron. It also provides an opportunity for licensed practical nurses and registered nurses to continue their education and earn a BSN.
By helping current and returning nursing students advance their education, the scholarship invests not only in their futures, but in the quality of care available to our communities for years to come.
