The Roger J. DiPaolo Wick Poetry Scholarship was established at the Portage Foundation in 2022 by Roger’s family. Roger loved poetry and it is his family’s wish to encourage others in the writing and appreciation of poetry. The scholarship is awarded annually to a Kent State University student in any year of study who has an interest in writing poetry. The scholarship is for $1,000 will be paid directly to Kent State University and is not renewable.
The recommendation for the recipient of the scholarship recipient will be made by representatives of the Wick Poetry Center, the DiPaolo Family and the Portage Foundation. The Board of Trustees of the Portage Foundation will approve the selection of the scholarship recipient.
